The Book
The story of a German family that found Babaji, a Mahavatar in the Himalayas, through dreams and premonitions over generations.
Packed with mystical experiences, unique encounters and valuable teachings. Gottlinde Tiedtke takes the reader on a fantastic spiritual journey. She tells of unbe-lievable events during the turmoil of the First and Second World Wars, the extraordi-nary experiences of an eight-year period in the Self-Realization Fellowship, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda, and of unforgettable moments with Babaji, whom she visited with her family for over six years on the foothills of the holy Mount Kailash in India.
Gottlinde Tiedtke
Born in Dresden, Germany in 1940, Gottlinde was introduced to Christian mysticism, dream interpretation and the writings of well-known philosophers and Indian masters at an early age. When she read Paramhansa Yogananda's 'Autobiography of a Yogi' in 1950, she went to Los Angeles at the age of 18 and joined the Self-Realization Fellow-ship. Eight years later, her life changed abruptly. She got married and started a family. In 1979, she read the book 'Babaji Message from the Himalayas' by Dr. Gabriele Wosien and recognized the Babaji from Yogananda's teachings. She traveled to India and became his disciple.
